Water damage comes from many sources, and does differentiating damage depending on circumstances. There are slow pipe leaks all the way to large pipe bursts leaving a home or building flooded in a short amount of time- and everything in between. All instances… we’ve dealt with. Depending on the type of the flooring, foundation, walls, etc., the damage and conditions change. Our mitigation and remediation experts have tackled any and all types of situations. They can assess the damages, what needs to be done immediately to lessen the damage further, and repair and dry out the structure. With discovering details and intricately putting together the information, our experts can provide you with a plan of action and a feeling of relief knowing that your situation will be fixed.
Small, unseen pipe leaks (most likely in walls) can lead to organic growth from within the walls- because given substantial time and food, organic growth occurs and can spread far and wide. Flooding from a pipe burst in a house or building can seep into the floors, walls, ceiling, and other area’s where water shouldn’t. Further damage may occur if the leak is not stopped right away. Water can get into electrical panels and other area’s that should be avoided at all costs. We try to perform mitigation before remediation because remediation involves us removing structure like drywall, flooring, etc.- depending on what category of water, and how long it has been there.
Whether a fire happens in a residential home or a commercial building, water damage tends to be a factor, also. In a house fire, if it grows and lasts long enough, fire department usually comes and puts it out with powerful and damaging streams of water. The pressure from the fire hoses can do a lot of damage to the structure and if left wet, can lead to further water damage and organic growth. We suggest you call us (and your insurance company) immediately after you have secured everybody’s safety, and the fire department is gone. In the case of a commercial building having a fire, typically there are ceiling sprinklers that will put out the fire, or lessen the fire until fire department comes. Either way, there will be water everywhere. Again, call us out- because water moves quick, and the longer you wait to have us out, the more damage and costly remediation will be.
Commercial buildings are not held under the same safety in building materials as homes, thus are commonly abundant in asbestos and lead containing materials. Your commercial building may still be hot with asbestos even after the outlawing of asbestos containing materials after 1985.
Residential homes built or updated before 1985 have a high chance of containing asbestos in the building materials. In 1985, asbestos containing materials were outlawed in the U.S. Call us today to have it tested.
We cover all aspects for abatement including the reconstruction of the structure. While other companies only abate the hazardous material, we perform everything all the way to the build back to make your home or building better than before.

Does my insurance cover this?
Typically, when abatement for asbestos or lead occurs in a home, that is covered by your insurance. Additionally, the ‘build back’ or reconstruction will usually go hand in hand and both be covered by your insurance. If you have any questions about this, call your insurance provider and ask what your options are. We are happy to help and work alongside insurance companies.
Do you need certification to work with lead contamination?
Yes. We are EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) certified for the Toxic Substances Control Act and have received certification to conduct lead-based paint renovation, repair, removal and abatement.
If my house was built before 1978, how likely will my house contain lead contaminents?
If your home is built before 1978, it is likely that some structural materials will be positive for lead. Don’t risk the safety of you or your family; call us today to get testing done ASAP. Lead exposure is not to be taken lightly and should be taken care of immediately. 916-638-1720
How long does lead abatement take?
Completing lead abatement varies depending a few factors. We must take into consideration if it’s residential or commercial, as well as how large the home or building is. If contents need to be removed from the structure, that also adds time to the abatement process. Give us a call to receive an analysis on how long abatement will be for you! 916-638-1720
Can lead paint kill you?
The paint that remains intact on a surface won’t kill you; only once the paint starts to peel away, will it release the harmful lead particles that can be inhaled. For that reason, it is imperative you do not try to remove lead-based paint by scraping, sanding, or burning because that will loosen the toxic metal.
Is lead poisoning permanent?
Even mild lead poisoning in children can have a permanent impact on a child’s mental development and attention. People who survive toxic lead levels may end up with some permanent brain damage. Children are a lot more vulnerable to severe long-term problems. It may take months to years to recover from chronic lead poisoning.
